In late 2024, numerous residents of New Jersey and some neighboring states reported seeing mysterious “UFOs” with bright, multicolored lights. The sightings and videos were so numerous that some joked about an “invasion of alien conquerors.” But recently, an unnamed source “leaked” information to journalists at the “New York Post” stating that these “drones” were actually an innovative manned (!) military apparatus. It was being launched from Fort Rucker military base as part of test flights.

In August 2025, an official demonstration flight of one such apparatus took place on the territory of the same Fort Rucker base before a small group of invitees. Externally, the object looked like a large drone with two “wings” and an oval cockpit between them. The cockpit likely contained a pilot’s seat (though, for some reason, the news did not mention the pilot at all). The object’s length is about 6 meters. It flies smoothly and neatly, and looks “surreal,” according to observers. In the dark, such an object could indeed be mistaken for a UFO.
The apparatuses are being developed by an unnamed company, and one of its employees explicitly stated the following during the August presentation: “Remember how everyone in New Jersey got scared by UFOs last year? Well, that was us.” It is reported that no information about the developer is being disclosed because “the company is not obligated to disclose information about its activities due to a private government contract.”

Meanwhile, many UFO enthusiasts were outraged by this disclosure. Many did not believe the claims, while others felt that even if it was true, who gave them the right to fly over residential areas and scare people? Partly because of these “UFOs,” New Jersey airports were temporarily closed several times. At the same time, New Jersey residents are confused, asking if these devices, even if innovative, are truly capable of what they saw? And what they saw was these “drones” vanishing into thin air in an instant, performing incredible, physics-defying maneuvers, and even being able to change their shape.
