A bizarre story recently came from Bolivia (South America). A young woman named Valeria lost her father, and shortly after the funeral, he appeared to her in a dream in an unusual form… as a goblin.
More precisely, a duende – that’s what creatures similar to gnomes, trolls, and goblins are called in South America.
In the same dream, the goblin father asked Valeria to create a doll of him in his new form, entirely handmade from head to clothing, and then leave it in a special hidden place in the forest for a while so that the doll could be filled with mystical energy.
Valeria did everything her father instructed, and the doll apparently became filled with her father’s energy. At least, Valeria believes so:
“The duende (doll) reflects the same energy as my father. He was a quiet person… When I touch his little head, I tell him I miss him and ask him to help me.”
After this, Valeria began making more duende dolls, and she would also place them in the special spot in the forest that her father had named. When she shared this with the community, people started buying the dolls from her, believing they could heal and protect against evil forces.
Very quickly, Valeria’s home came to be known as the “goblin house” by the locals, and it became so famous in the country that Bolivian paranormal researchers now plan to visit.
