MUFON is the largest UFO organization in the United States and in the world. It includes around 700 enthusiastic researchers who have been collecting and analyzing UFO sightings and alleged extraterrestrials since the 1960s.
In its archives, there are approximately 137,000 eyewitness reports.
In January 2024, a video of an unusual UFO in the shape of a jellyfish was released online, showing it flying over a U.S. military base in Iraq. MUFON ufologists were initially skeptical about this footage, but it quickly became apparent that UFO-jellyfish are not a new phenomenon and that their archives are filled with sightings of similar objects.
They appear as an oval body with something resembling tentacles or threads hanging below. That’s why these objects are called jellyfish, though they are sometimes referred to as squid.
What is particularly alarming is that these flying jellyfish do not merely observe us from above; sometimes they “hunt” specifically for humans and are even capable of somehow “sucking” life energy from them.
Previously, UFO-jellyfish were frequently seen in Denmark. According to ufologist Bob Spearing, MUFON’s archive contains many drawings and photos of Danish UFO-jellyfish from the 1970s.
Moreover, small UFO-jellyfish can even enter people’s homes! In one case that occurred in Singapore, several UFO-jellyfish with iridescent, multicolored tentacles somehow got into a room where a woman was sleeping.
“She noticed strange objects in the corner of the room, resembling squids with bioluminescent tentacles. One of these beings, whatever it was, attached itself to the woman’s back, and she felt pain. That’s what woke her up. The creature was intelligent because it immediately jumped aside. The woman felt it was genuinely concerned, as if she could have a telepathic connection with it,” says Bob Spearing.
Among other stories, two UFO-jellyfish sightings occurred in Vancouver in 2016 and 2024, and another two in Iran.
“In Iran, the witness was a 45-year-old married woman with two sons. She first heard a strange noise and felt that something was pursuing her. A few nights later, she woke up with pressure in her chest. She said aloud, ‘What happened?’ and that’s when she saw something resembling a square jellyfish with many short legs.
It was half blue, half red, and very similar to a real marine creature. The jellyfish hovered right above her, then lifted up and settled on the floor. The jellyfish disappeared after a few minutes. The next day, the woman noticed a scar on her abdomen several inches long. It itched and burned as if from the inside. The woman was very distressed.”
According to Spearing, most of the time, witnesses do not manage to take a photo of the object but can draw it after the incident.

According to the woman, the “squid” seemed to be trying to suck out her life force.
