The events described in the report took place on the night of November 19-20, 2008, in the Brazilian city of Claudio. It began when Sergeant Renata Veloso spotted a bright UFO in the sky. The object descended sharply and rapidly from a great height, leading Veloso to initially think it was lightning. Veloso and other police officers were patrolling the streets that night ahead of a football match between Brazil and Portugal. Veloso called her husband, Lieutenant Eisenhower Guerka Austria, a platoon commander in the military police, who also observed the UFO from his window.
The object was large and bright, with an unclear, possibly hexagonal shape. Two smaller spherical objects accompanied it in the sky. The UFO moved smoothly until it approached a local church, at which point the smaller spheres began to glow—one in silver and the other in red, their brightness varying in intensity.
Lieutenant Austria decided to deploy several military police officers to pursue the mysterious objects while he stayed at the base. Upon arrival, the officers were awestruck. “Just look at that!” they exclaimed to each other. The UFO began flying quickly and soon disappeared in the direction of the village of San Bento.
Two officers, Sergeants Valdir Araujo Silva and William Alcione Alves de Silva, investigated a nearby sugarcane field where they encountered two glowing humanoid beings. “We saw two glowing creatures about 90 centimeters tall moving through the sugarcane. We were driving in a Mitsubishi pickup along a rural road when Sergeant William noticed something in the bushes. He immediately turned the vehicle towards these glowing beings. When we got closer—about 15-20 meters away—they started to ‘slide’ through the sugarcane stalks. We were driving at about 20 km/h, but they stayed ahead of us on the right.
It was evident that these beings ‘walked’ without touching the ground. We couldn’t see their feet or hands clearly but noticed their arms, legs, and oval-shaped heads. Although they glowed, their light didn’t illuminate their surroundings.”
According to the report, during the “chase,” one of the sergeants attempted to photograph the beings but couldn’t locate his camera. The officers claimed the creatures then interacted with them in a manner resembling a scientific experiment: “They seemed to control our thoughts, making our bodies tired and incapable of thinking strategically or tactically. We were in a state where we couldn’t determine what was real, what was a dream, or what was a nightmare, and we all experienced and saw the same things.
After this encounter, we suffered headaches, anxiety, and couldn’t stop discussing what we had seen. We felt incredibly thirsty. What seemed like 40 minutes actually lasted 2-3 hours.”
It is unclear how the encounter ended, but it appears the beings eventually disappeared. Later, when the military questioned local residents, they discovered that during the same period, strange incidents also occurred to them. Some reported feeling intense heat in their homes, others experienced car failures, or felt unusually fatigued, sleepy, and anxious. There were even stories of people “levitating.”
No further details about this case have been clarified to this day.
