This bizarre story was published in 2008 on the Canadian ufology website ufobc.ca.
It all started that year when the author’s friend was attacked on the street and struck on the head multiple times with a heavy object. The elderly woman sustained a severe cranial injury. She was rushed into surgery, where a part of her skull was removed, and she was subsequently placed in a medically induced coma.
“Her beautiful face had swollen to the size of a basketball. I almost thought it wasn’t her, as if I was looking at a stranger. I’ve known her for 40 years; she was my closest friend, and we grew up together.
She was in a medically induced coma after having part of her skull removed, so I was afraid even to touch her. I wanted to lie down and just hold her close, but I wasn’t allowed due to all her head injuries.”
Later that night, after returning from the hospital, the woman decided to meditate “for healing” and found herself in her friend’s hospital room, standing by her bed. She stood there for a long time, not knowing what to do next.
Suddenly, two beings appeared next to her. They seemed to push her aside and silently surrounded the comatose patient. They began to work on her, acting like experienced surgeons.
“I had no idea who they were or what they were doing, but the first thought that came to my mind was, ‘Are they aliens?’ I stood there and observed them more than what they were doing. I thought they looked like mantises. Alien mantises. I could never have imagined such things in a million years. I didn’t see everything they were doing because I was so stunned by what I saw.”
The woman then refocused on the image of her friend and saw her head before her, which was wide open as if perfectly sliced in half.
“I saw her freshly cut raw flesh, and these alien mantises were carefully and methodically removing pieces of bone, stones, or something else from her brain. It didn’t look at all like what I imagined ‘the insides’ of a brain to be; it was just a clean cut.
The two mantises worked quickly and said not a word. Then I seemed to lose consciousness and remembered nothing more. I’ve heard of guides who can assist in healing meditation, but where did these beings come from?”
According to the author, when she was standing in her meditation by her friend’s bed and before the two beings appeared, she seemed to look inside her friend’s head and saw a black spot (presumably the site of the injury). From the spot, spiders suddenly began to crawl out—hundreds of spiders. And when she grabbed one, they vanished.
Unfortunately, if the woman’s friend was indeed healed by some kind of astral mantises, it did not significantly extend her life. The author writes that two weeks later, her friend passed away.
