Children in Hospice Report Seeing Grey Alien-Like Being Before Dea#

Dying Children in a Hospice Saw a Being Resembling a Big-Eyed Grey Alien

David Parker from Phoenix, Arizona, USA, worked as a nurse for 40 years and recently retired. For 17 of those years, he worked in hospices (departments for terminally ill and dying people), including five years in a specialized hospice for children.

He worked in a 10-bed pediatric hospice where both infants and teenagers up to 17 years old were admitted. Sometimes, when there were no child patients—because “doctors try everything with children before placing them in hospice”—they also accepted adult patients.

However, a strange being, seen standing by the beds or walking past them, was only seen by children. It’s possible that all children, or many of them, saw it, but not all were able to speak or tell the staff about it.

According to the children’s descriptions, this being was gray, about 4 feet tall (120 cm), with enormous eyes and abnormally long arms with long fingers. Its head was large and elongated. Parker and other staff members nicknamed it simply “the Gray” because the description matched the typical Grey aliens.

Many hospice patients were in very serious condition and required 24/7 care. Each room had three beds with partitions, but there was also a family area where all three patients could sometimes be placed together. And sometimes, all three children at once would tell the nurses or staff that they were seeing this gray being right at that moment.

According to Parker, they would say the “Gray” was standing right next to him, though, of course, Parker never saw it. In a video recorded in 2024, David Parker said that he had sometimes seen “ghosts” that adult patients also saw, but he never saw the Gray being(s) the children described.

“Most children were very curious about it; some laughed, though others were afraid,” he said.

Some children also reported seeing cats, various people, white or black mist in the room—but during his five years there, the strange Gray was the one most frequently seen.

Parker says that he and other hospice staff sometimes saw “ghosts” that looked like light or dark moving figures, which seemed to leave a trail behind as they walked. He doesn’t understand whether the Grays could be some sort of special ghosts only visible to children before death or beings of a different kind entirely.

Parker especially noted that although these stories might be attributed to hallucinations from strong painkillers usually administered to hospice patients, not all children who told him about the Gray were receiving such medications.

On Reddit, under Parker’s video, one particular comment stood out:

“My daughter died last year at the age of 22 from cancer. We were in the hospital for 3 weeks. She described the same thing. I thought she was hallucinating from the meds. I’m shocked at what he’s saying.
She described a tall gray figure with elongated facial features. I imagined a skinny man, and since she was a big fan of sci-fi shows as a teenager, I thought she was remembering one of them.
She was on a lot of meds, including fentanyl, and often lost consciousness.
When she came to, she said he was standing in the hallway looking at her. She mentioned it more than once.
I even have a video of her talking about it. She was never afraid of him.”
