A family with three children from North Magwegwe, a suburb of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, has encountered a cruel invisible entity that attacks the children day and night.
As reported by local media, the three children of undisclosed gender, aged 13, 12, and 8, live under the care of their grandparents. And last autumn, something malevolent moved into their home.
“We don’t know what to do about this. It started in November last year. One morning, our children woke up, and their hair was shaved off. We thought it was just some coincidence.
But the next day, our youngest child woke up in the middle of the night with a loud scream. Someone stabbed him with a knife in the leg! And someone shaved his hair off again (apparently, only certain sections of hair were shaved off each time).
We were all horrified and had no idea what was happening,” one of the adults recounts, trembling with fear.
Since those days, paranormal events in their home have been happening on a regular basis. And now, something opens and closes windows and doors, turns lights on and off, steals pots from the kitchen, and food from the refrigerator.
Then they started hearing sounds in the kitchen as if someone was cooking there, but when they went to the kitchen, it was empty.
“We sought help from various prophets and churches, but after each attempt, the situation only worsened. Doors and windows would open inexplicably, our children’s clothes, especially their school uniforms, were torn, and they could no longer attend school.
We hired a spiritual healer for a cleansing ceremony. And the next day, our house mysteriously caught fire, but only the bedrooms were affected. Everything in the kitchen and dining room remained untouched.”
In an attempt to save the children from the invisible tormentor, they sent all three to their grandmother on the maternal side, who lives in South Africa. But the poltergeist followed them, and everything continued there as well.
The invisible assailant still attacked the children at night and beat them. Dishes broke on their own, clothes were scattered around the house, and then money started disappearing from the house inexplicably. After that, the children returned to Zimbabwe.
“We tried to protect the children by sending them to sleep at the neighbors’ house, but the disturbances followed them there too. Last night, there was another rampage in the neighbors’ room, and it was flooded with water. We’re at a loss. The children suffer the most, and there’s no peace in our lives. All the neighbors are afraid of us, and we don’t know where to turn. We beg for any help we can get.”
Children’s clothing in the room constantly gets ruined and scattered by the poltergeist.
The grandmother of the children, Mayinesi Chongwe, tearfully recounted that neighbors now call her a witch, blaming her for what happened:
“At 80 years old, I have never practiced witchcraft or used any charms. I am a Christian. But some neighbors accuse me of witchcraft, believing that I am behind these misfortunes. Because of this, no one helps us. When the fire broke out, the neighbors watched instead of helping, fueled by these suspicions,” says the tearful Chongwe.
When the filming crew of the news website B-Metro visited this house, a large brick flew in through the window from an unknown source, shattering the glass. It’s unclear whether this was a manifestation of the poltergeist or if the brick was thrown by one of the neighbors.
A neighbor, to whom the children were sent to spend the night, told journalists that something malevolent clearly wants to kill these children:
“The children were sleeping in my living room when the kettle and cups from my sideboard were mysteriously moved and used to strike the children all night long. My grandson, who was sleeping nearby, fled in fear and fell asleep in the closet. I am convinced that these invisible forces have one goal: to kill the children. I’m afraid they might die even under my watch,” she said.
A 13-year-old girl, whose name is not disclosed, said that the supernatural attacks have turned her life into unbearable existence. And something seems to try to undress her completely when she’s getting ready for school. Because of this, she is forced to stop attending classes.
“I’m afraid to go to school because every time I get ready, I find that my uniform is torn or missing. It has become impossible for me to attend classes because all my uniforms are damaged and I have nothing to wear. Sometimes we get slapped or hit by stones that seem to appear out of nowhere, turning our lives into a waking nightmare,” she said.
