On June 28, 2024, a rather curious message appeared on the social media account of the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, USA.
It stated that a group of young people aged 17-18 went on a hike in the local Kisatchie National Forest.
They had barely set up camp when one of the teenagers saw something so frightening that he immediately called 911.
He told the operator that he first heard a terrible growl, and when he turned around, he saw an animal about 5 feet tall (150 cm) with glowing eyes.
It was around 9 p.m., already quite dark, so the teenager couldn’t make out anything else in the darkness.
The call was forwarded to the sheriff’s office, and a vehicle with two officers was immediately dispatched to help the young tourists. Since the location was not far from the city, they arrived fairly quickly and soon found the group of teenagers, alive and well but scared.
The officers then thoroughly inspected the area but found nothing that growled or had glowing eyes.
The post on social media garnered over a hundred comments, many suggesting it could have been Bigfoot or a bear. Given the creature’s small stature, there were also speculations about a baby Bigfoot.
However, if it had been a bear, the deputies would likely have found its tracks or the bear itself, as it would hardly have run far. But yetis are known to hide from people much more skillfully…
