The story of Pier Zanfretta, or the reptilian abduction in Italy, begins with Zanfretta leading an ordinary life as a village guard in Torriglia, Italy. Until one night in December 1978, when he encountered a series of strange events involving UFOs, anomalous phenomena, and reptilians from space.
On the night of December 6, 1978, while patrolling his designated area, Zanfretta noticed four strange lights in the night sky. As he approached for a closer look, his car suddenly stalled and stopped completely. He got out and saw a large, red oval-shaped object emitting intense light on the grass nearby.
Approaching cautiously, he encountered a massive humanoid creature with green, scaly skin, spikes protruding from its head, and large claws on its hands and feet. The creature, described as over 3 meters tall, emitted a heat ray towards Zanfretta, causing him to lose consciousness.
When he woke up, he was surrounded by colleagues who had heard his cries for help. They found him in a state of shock, unable to comprehend his surroundings at first. Physical evidence such as burn marks on trees, large footprints, and strange depressions in the ground corroborated Zanfretta’s account.
The incident quickly gained media attention in Italy, with journalist Rino Di Stefano taking a keen interest in investigating the case. Zanfretta, under regressive hypnosis suggested by Di Stefano, recalled being abducted by reptilians from the planet Titanian, who communicated with him via a translating device. They claimed they would return to Earth in greater numbers in the future.
In the days following, Zanfretta had another encounter where his car was controlled remotely, leading him to another abduction aboard the alien ship. He was shown various creatures and artifacts, including a golden tetrahedron with unknown properties, which he hid and refused to show to others.
Over the years, Zanfretta claimed to have been abducted numerous times between 1978 and 1981, encountering various alien beings and witnessing strange scenes aboard their spacecraft. His story made him a prominent figure in Italian ufology, although skepticism remained about the veracity of his claims.
Whether Pier Zanfretta experienced elaborate fantasies or genuine extraterrestrial encounters remains a mystery, but his story remains one of the most famous UFO incidents in Italy.
