In the fall of 2004, a group of Indian glaciologists (specialists in ice) went to the Himalayas and were fortunate enough to observe a strange humanoid creature for almost an hour.
This happened on September 27, 2004, the penultimate day of the expedition. On that day, five scientists were in a camp on the Samudra Tapu glacier, which is located at an altitude of 4.4 km near the high-altitude lake Chandra Tal.
Incidentally, this lake is shrouded in many ancient legends and traditions about the sighting of unusual creatures.
Around 7 a.m., the scientists noticed something flying low above the ground that resembled a humanoid creature but was quite small, at most about one and a half meters tall. Just a few days after the incident, a brief note about it appeared in the Indian-American journal “SiliconIndia”:
“This unusual object seemed to be attached to balloons (several white and one red). It had visible legs, but we couldn’t see any arms. It was approaching the top of a hill but started moving in our direction when we went towards it. However, when our porters made noise, it moved to the top of the hill.
The object remained stationary for about five minutes after reaching the top of the hill, then moved in another direction before disappearing… Interestingly, when it was in the sun, it turned black, and in the shade of the hill, it became white,” one of the scientists described.
The original text also mentioned that the scientists took many photos, but for some reason, none of them were ever published in the media.
A year later, a more detailed description of this observation appeared in the journal “India Today”:
“Around 6:45 a.m., when the scientists were preparing to leave their tents, one of the porters noticed a white object on the top of a nearby mountain ridge and shouted, ‘Sir, there’s a Yeti coming!’ Then Anil Kulkarni, a senior researcher who has been mapping glaciers for a quarter of a century, and his team members saw something resembling a robot hovering a few inches above the ground and approaching the camp down the mountain slope.
Kulkarni and his colleague geologist Sunil Dhar took out their digital cameras and began photographing the object, while the team ran towards the mountain. The elongated object, about 3 to 4 feet tall, continued moving down the slope towards the team. It had a cylindrical head with two ‘attachments’ resembling balloons, a body, arms, and two legs. ‘It seemed to walk, squat, and pace like a human being,’ recalled Sunil Dhar.
The scientists observed the creature for about 45 minutes and were baffled by what they saw. They sent the photos they took to their organization, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), along with their description. This report was then sent to the military and SASE (Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment).
The conclusions of these organizations are unknown, but Kulkarni believes it was a UFO or a sophisticated foreign spy drone capable of high maneuverability.
‘It’s a mystery beyond human perception,’ says Sunil Dhar.
‘There is no known technology in the civilian sector that could explain the mysterious object we saw so closely,’ says Kulkarni.
‘It did not look like a man-made object,’ opined geologist Rajesh Kalia.
Dwarfs, Vimanas, and Mount Kailash
In ancient Hindu texts, small humanoid creatures called yaksha, yakkha, jakkha, or jak are often mentioned. They were usually depicted as dwarfs and considered nature spirits, inhabiting mountains or forests.
Yaksha were frequently mentioned in connection with vimanas – the flying machines of ancient Hindu gods. For instance, in the “Ramayana,” it is described how, after defeating the rakshasa (demon-cannibal) named Ravana, Rama flew home in the dome-shaped golden vimana Pushpaka, which was controlled by mental commands. Initially, this vimana belonged to the yaksha leader Kubera.
There are also references to the yaksha having many such vimanas. Once, Ravana attacked the yaksha city of Alaka, located on Mount Kailash (the very sacred pyramid-shaped mountain).
A great battle ensued between Kubera and Ravana, during which Kubera was injured, but his comrades brought two vimanas and rescued the leader, taking him to his palace.
Some ufologists believe that the yaksha and vimanas suspiciously resemble modern Grey aliens and their UFO ships. Both have large heads, short stature, the ability to fly in strange devices, including ones with dome-shaped tops. And choosing the inaccessible Himalayas as a base, especially in those distant times, seems quite logical.
‘The Himalayas are inaccessible and abound with yakshas (dwarfs) and rakshasas (giants)… Now we will ascend to that white rock, Mount Mandara (one of the peaks of the Himalayas), inhabited by yakshas, Manibhadra, and Kubera, the king of yakshas,’ described in the epic “Mahabharata.”
Mount Kailash, where the yaksha city was located, is almost 2 km lower than Everest, but unlike it, no one has ever climbed to its summit. The upper part of the mountain has a pyramid shape with steep rock walls, making it currently impossible for even very experienced climbers to ascend.
At the same time, believers think that Kailash intentionally does not allow people to reach it because those who live on its summit do not want them to. More precisely, inside the summit, because the yaksha city or alien base would likely not be located on the open surface.
