A woman named Susan Mary (name changed for anonymity) believes that when she was 2 or 3 years old, terrible demons took over her body. Most likely, this happened because her parents were involved in Satanism and were generally very harsh people. The girl began to suffer emotionally because the demons spoke terrible things to her, and she also saw ominous visions.
“I saw that the windows in the house were covered in blood, as if a murder had taken place there. I heard terrible screams, as if people were being tortured. The demons also laughed at me, saying terrible things: ‘You are a pitiful creature. We are going to tear you apart like a pig,’ she told reporters.
This continued for several decades. Even when Susan lived separately from her parents, she could not fight off the demons. Because of this, she could barely even attend church. At some point, she shared her suffering with her best friend, who advised her to turn to priests for help.
Thus, Susan Mary reached out to Catholic exorcist Carlos Martinson. During the exorcism sessions, it was necessary to strap her to a heavy chair, and several strong men struggled to keep her there while the priest recited prayers. But even then, she repeatedly broke free and threw these men around like children.
During the exorcism process, blood appeared on the priest’s clothing, and there were traces of an attack from something invisible on his body. But in the end, he succeeded.
Father Carlos Martinson from Ontario, Canada, recalls, “In my childhood, I always knew that I was different. My behavior wasn’t like other children’s. They enjoyed life, but I didn’t… It was terrible. You hear what you don’t want to hear, and see what you don’t want to see… And everything was so vivid. You feel like you’re losing your mind, and there’s no way out except death,” Susan recounts.
“Inside, I felt cold, as if I was in the Arctic without a coat. I felt incredible anxiety and restlessness, and as if my blood was boiling. I also felt—I don’t know why—that I urgently needed a toilet or that I was about to vomit.”
After the exorcism, the woman finally felt good: “It was like the silence after a terrible storm. Peace finally came. But I knew what I had gone through. I understood that when the chaos inside me subsided, peace and quiet followed. Now I feel better because I know the truth about myself. I know that I am loved by God and good people who take care of me.”
Carlos Martinson performed many exorcisms, and it all began when he was appointed responsible for dealing with poltergeist manifestations. It was then that he realized he had the gift of banishing evil spirits.
“You can’t catch a demon by sitting on a public toilet, but if you sit next to someone on a bus who has demons, you might get infected. You invite the demon in by opening the door, and while that door is open, it will stay there. My task is to deprive the demon of the right to be here,” says the priest.
