A TikTok user claims he “went to Hell” after experiencing a heart attack. He described what he saw as a tormenting ordeal that changed his life forever, saying he “wouldn’t wish it even on his worst enemy.”
In February 2016, a man named Gerald Johnson suffered a heart attack and suddenly found himself in a terrifying place.
“Absolutely, I saw the real Hell. I was there. And I wouldn’t wish that even on my worst enemy, no matter what they’ve done to me.”
According to Johnson, he “descended to the Earth’s core,” where Hell was located.
“I thought I had a heart attack, and my spirit left my physical body. I believed I was going to ascend (to Heaven) because I thought I had done so much good in this life and helped so many people. But instead of going up, I went down. I literally went to the center of the Earth.”
“What I saw was literally indescribable, and it brings up emotions every time I talk about it.”
Johnson recounts seeing, among other things, a person crawling on all fours like a dog, burned from head to toe, wearing a chain around their neck. A demon held the other end of the chain.
“I knew that demon was sent into this person’s life to control them from childhood until their death.”
Then Gerald heard a song playing, with lyrics as ordinary as those we hear on Earth from popular performers. However, instead of glamorous pop stars, demons were singing this song.
“Every line in every song tormented you because you didn’t worship God through music while you were on Earth.”
But then Gerald left Hell, and it seems that his visit there was meant to teach him a lesson from Jesus himself.
“I rose from Hell and returned to Earth, and God began speaking to me. I actually saw the real Jesus. He started talking to me and said, ‘You were secretly upset with people who hurt you. You hoped I would punish those who caused you pain. But these are not your people—they are my people. I only want you to focus on the task I’ve given you.'”
Although Gerald had done good deeds, he realized his heart held unforgiveness toward those who had wronged him.
“A person who cannot forgive is someone who has forgotten how much they themselves have been forgiven,” he says.
Gerald’s video has been viewed three million times and received thousands of comments, with many users saying his story resonated with them.
