Ghosts

A girl at the age of 8 suddenly started being afraid of airplanes, and later said that she remembered how a plane crashed into a skyscraper

A woman named Karen from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, shared that when her daughter, Claire, was 8, she started saying strange things. At first, the girl claimed she was afraid to fly on airplanes, despite having never done so.

But what she said next deeply shocked her mother. By the way, Claire was born three months premature. She came into the world bluish and not breathing, and her mother, Karen, felt very ill as well. It was truly a miracle that the doctors managed to save both of them.

Later, Claire started saying that her name wasn’t Claire, but something else. She also began to categorically say that she didn’t want to grow up. When Claire was 8, Karen decided to take her with her when she wanted to fly to visit her grandmother. But Claire began to have what could almost be called a panic attack when she saw airplanes. She was very scared and didn’t want to fly anywhere. Karen asked her daughter why she was so scared and why she thought something bad would happen to her if she got on the plane.

В 8 лет девочка вдруг начала бояться самолетов, а потом сказала, что помнит как самолет врезался в небоскреб

That’s when Claire told her something that sent chills down Karen’s spine. Claire said that she herself saw how a plane crashed into a building in New York, and part of the plane flew into the building through the wall. Claire was born three months before the September 11, 2001, attacks, so of course, she couldn’t remember anything about it.

But perhaps she saw these scenes on television? Karen continued asking her daughter, and she said that it happened when she worked in the office in that city (New York). “She spoke so emotionally, as if it really happened. It was very real to her. She described her hair as being red and wavy, and even remembered that she often gathered it into a bun.” Then the girl described what she was wearing, and her mother realized that whatever this was, it more likely had nothing to do with September 11, because her clothes resembled the style of the 1950s.

Again, Karen thought that her daughter might have seen some old TV show about a catastrophe. Then Claire said that there was a big panic in her office after the plane hit the wall. But what happened afterward, she couldn’t remember or didn’t want to remember. Finally, Karen asked her daughter directly how the building looked, expecting that she would probably describe the twin towers.

But Claire not only described a specific skyscraper but even named it—Empire State Building. Karen had never heard of a plane crashing into the Empire State Building. She sat down at the computer and started looking for information. And she found it! It turned out that on July 28, 1945, a plane actually crashed into the Empire State Building. Fortunately, the building didn’t collapse, but a large hole formed in the wall. The plane was a small bomber from a local base, whose pilot lost his bearings in the fog and flew into the 79th floor of the skyscraper.

All three crew members died, along with 13 office workers. Another 25 people were injured. Currently, even the residents of New York have forgotten about this tragic incident, so it seems that little Claire was telling what she had experienced in a past life. And judging by the fact that she remembered nothing after seeing the plane crash into the building, she might have been one of those 13 office workers who died.

Then Karen decided to take Claire to New York to the Empire State Building to see if her daughter could remember anything else. And she was right—once inside the skyscraper, Claire remembered that she had two children, and the name Rose popped into her head. “I worked in a cubicle in the Empire State Building when the wing of the plane crashed into our office.

All I remember is the catastrophe, everything else was unclear. I was confused and scared.” Claire really wanted to see the list of names of those who died in that catastrophe, but it turned out that there was no memorial with their names in the skyscraper, and she and her mother were not allowed on the 79th floor.

Now, Claire is 23 years old, but recently, when Karen and Claire appeared on the TV show The Ghost Inside My Child, where they tell stories of children with supernatural abilities, journalists managed to find the list of office workers who died. Based on the description of her appearance, the name Rose, and having two children, it turned out that Claire’s past life might have been that of Anna Gerlach—an Irishwoman who had red hair, two children, and whose mother’s name was Rose.

Now, Claire feels at peace; she was happy to learn “how all the pieces of this puzzle came together.” She says that now she is no longer afraid, and there is nothing to be afraid of.
