Legends of a mysterious underground world existing somewhere near the Earth’s center can be found among nearly all cultures. Since humanity has meticulously explored all continents over the years without discovering anything resembling an entrance to this world, rumors have shifted the “gates” to the Arctic and/or Antarctica.
Tibetan mystics still believe that the legendary Shambhala and Agartha, “mystical centers of sacred tradition,” lie underground. Legends speak of underground tunnels connecting Agartha to the external world. Among proponents of the Hollow Earth theory, there were rumors at one time that Adolf Hitler and some of his followers fled to the underground world through an opening in Antarctica after World War II.
There is also a theory that a network of tunnels branches out from the gates in Antarctica, passing through all continents. Reports suggest that such tunnels exist in the Altai, the Urals, the Tian Shan, Tibet, the Sahara, and South America.
Several years ago, Joseph Skipper, a well-known virtual archaeologist from the United States, discovered a “passage to the underground world” in Antarctica. The opening is located in the mountains and is clearly visible in satellite images. Not far from the “passage,” there is an object that looks very much like a frozen UFO disc.

Recently, the famous Russian “virtual” researcher Valentin Degterev also discovered an unusual opening on Antarctica’s maps. Degterev wrote in his blog:
“While examining satellite photos of Antarctica in the Weddell Sea area (the westernmost part of the continent), I found a massive crater. Its length is about a kilometer, and the depth of the collapse in the rocky ground is about four hundred meters.
This is not a volcano (it is not listed anywhere) or a meteorite crater. There are no mentions of it anywhere. It is quite densely surrounded by ice, making it difficult to notice from the sea. The collapse is not covered with ice or snow. Its inner surface is quite steep, and there is no solidified lava. This is definitely not a volcano. Coordinates of the find: -64.922761°, -59.681511°.”
The researcher asks for help in identifying the object:
“This find is very interesting because it resembles the very entrance that scientists and adventurers from around the world have been searching for so long. If there is even the slightest chance to explore it, it would be a shame to miss it. If anyone has more precise information about this artifact, please let me know. I would be grateful.”
